Re: Snild Dolkow, live at Malmöfestivalen 2011!

I attended the show, it was excellent and the music was fantastic! I took some out-of-focus images, ;) http://www.flickr.com/photos/66698643@N08/6067075668/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/66698643@N08/6067074582/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/66698643@N08/6067073574/ Definitely one of the bes...

Re: D&D Sluggers ( My band )

Cool song and video. Fun to watch, and it seems like it was fun to make too :-)

Re: Influences

A smal cross-section of music that inspires me... zgEGVKwURKc Sigur Ros are quite good at setting a mood, creating walls of noise followed by beautiful melodic sections. Bqvcmud3LFQ Another band that is good at creating soundscapes. JkeZ0IICfBA Broken/The downward spiral/Fragile... Don't know what t...

Re: bryface: a matter of honour (orchestral DS-10)

Wow, that's just amazing. Who needs an orchestra when you've got the ds-10? ;-)

There are some Vangelis tendencies over this piece (and that is a good thing!). But I guess that is hard to avoid if you are doing orchestral music on analogue synths.

Rweic666's songs are great, quite inspiring and slightly intimidating ;-)

Re: General synth theory and patch stuff

CM had a special issue about making synth music a while ago. I thought it was quite nice. Music Tech also had a focus issue about Synthesis. Tough that was mostly a subset of the SoS series, but with the added benefit of the magazine being very glossy. http://www.musictechmag.co.uk/mtm/focus http://...

Re: An introduction of some kind

Cool, didn't know about those. Both seem very nice. I've been interested in getting Nitrotracker http://nitrotracker.tobw.net/ . Tough, I'm going to thoroughly learn the Ds-10 first, before getting anything new. I've got a slight tendency to horde things and I need to keep that behaviour at bay... :...

Re: General synth theory and patch stuff

Yeah, that series is very good, at least the articles I've read.

There are some articles on the music radar site that might be of some interest to,
http://www.musicradar.com/tuition/archive/Tech.
They are more of the how-do-I-tweak-this-sound nature.

An introduction of some kind

Hi! I bought a DS-10 plus a couple of days ago and when I found this excellent forum I thought that I had to join. The reason I got the Ds-10 was that I do about an hour of commuting every day and I wanted to do something fun with that otherwise lost time. I bought a battery powered drum machine for...
