Re: M01 Rush Hour < Scenic Route (wats a genre)

Genre is definitely house. Excellent use of the pads. I would have preferred the closed hi-hat to be slightly tighter. You can speed them up to make them shorter in M01. Around 1:50, the sine sound is kinda muddy, try making the pad notes that play around the same frequencies more quiet for that par...

Acid Sun (Trance)

https://soundcloud.com/jannefrisk/acid-sun I've had this done for a while now, forgot to put it here too. Epic-progressive trance. Melancholic mood with relatively big sound for M01. It was a bit of a challenge to get this many layers without the sound getting cut off due to polyphony limit. Also, ...

Noise Line (Psytrance)

http://www.mediafire.com/listen/whyplw8 ... _Line3.mp3
High-intensity psychedelic trance. It's a style probably best not done on a ROMpler like M01, but whatever, one has to try all kinds of things.

This was actually inspired by some dreams I had. Can you imagine?

Re: What The Funk?!

Very nice. You can really draw out the best sides of M01 here.
Sounds like a lot of effort was put into this. All the melodies sound really nice and everything fits in the song perfectly.
Keep at it!

Stingray (Dubstep)

Melodic and chilly dubstep.
Gotta love that analog sound.

Had much fun making this. The kaoss pad sequences are interesting to mess around with.

Gotta love that groove!
House is good music to listen to and to make when dreamy.

JaByZki - Lost Moments (Uplifting Trance)

http://soundcloud.com/jannefrisk/lost-moments Uplifting/epic trance with much influence from late 90s/early 00s trance music. The work here includes sequencing the song in M01, recording the individual tracks and drums using Audacity and finally equalizing, tweaking(filters, reverbs, volume and EQ ...

Re: LOL JOKE RED VS. BLUE DUBSTEP DROP

Ehehehhe, pretty good wubbing.

Just a hint, if you want to add reverb, don't do it to whole track. Record the parts you want the reverb apply to into audio, put reverb in, then record the rest and mix together.
This way you won't lose the punch of the kick! ;)

Arrival (Goa Trance)

http://soundcloud.com/jannefrisk/arrival Goa trance with not-too-dark atmosphere. Experimentation with acid arps and leads. Also managed to pull off the "psy-fart/squelch" sound pretty well. The bassline is more grooving than brooding really. It's made as a drum sound if you're wondering how I got ...

Re: DS Lite DAC vs. original M1 DAC

The problem isn't exactly DS's DAC quality, it's the fact that DS itself uses 12 bit depth with audio processing. What this means is that there are only 4096 levels of volume for audio, compared to 16 bit depth of CDs that provide 65536 possible levels in volume. The lower the bit depth the more noi...

Robert Miles - Children [M01 Cover]

Without further speeches, here we go! j6uc-u06DZU I learned a lot about the M01 while making this(first complete project with it) and now I'm going to waste all my time making psytrance tracks  Anyone have ideas how to make better snare rolls? 16 levels of volume cause them to sound really cho...

Greetings!

Hello everyone, new member here! I happened to come across this place and decided to join, as I really love the DS-10. Occasionally I use way too much with it and end up with sore neck  I've been making music since 2007, and work mostly on computer, but for whatever reason I find DS-10 to be i...
