Re: Need criticism.. Please help :D

haha, also, maybe you can help me. I’m having the same problem with a squirting transient on some toms i made for a song and my usual methods don't seem to be remedying it, how did you subdue yours? thanks.

Re: Need criticism.. Please help :D

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
Wanted to say that I love the work you did on it, a bit of TLC went a long way and that kick drum in particular sounds bad-ass!

Re: Need criticism.. Please help :D

i love it. i think the devil is in the details here. that fat bass i assume is your kick drum, which is nice and thick, but it has this squirty transient on top that i would try and subdue a bit. there also needs to be a "thunk" in there, which i can understand you are limited in how much you can la...

Re: Cyborg Pirate Ninja Jesus

Haha, there I go and my pleasure. Hells yes I do, and thankfully most people do find it a novelty which has allowed me to find five copies so far for cheap at the EB/Game Stop stores. People just don’t realize what they’re giving up. :? Well, I suppose, technically, I could have achieved same or sim...

Re: drum tutorial vid part 1: snare and hi-hat

Wow, where to start. I guess first of all I didn’t know I was unearthing a can of worms when I asked about your follow up tutorial, like D A Payne says, it was particularly useful, and whenever you get around to doing the next one I’ll be in there like a dirty shirt. :D What’s been said, however, hi...

Re: Cyborg Pirate Ninja Jesus

Hahahaha! Thanks! I’ve been dying to talk about it… as I’m sure you could tell, haha. Well, everything except guitar and vox is DS-10. There was some creative EQ, a fist full of VST plugins and some drum samples I liberated from the program files of the Caustic app I have on my phone, but for ...

Re: First Time audio recording

seems to me you have a lot of really great ideas/sounds going on here, the composition is just cluttered. you need to contrast your sounds more by using your mutes. also, it seems to have no low end to speak of so a way to carry that might be to add just a little sustain to your kick drum so it hums...

OMG YES!!!
this was the first song i learned on guitar, i've covered it live at almost every show i've ever played, and you do it every bit of justice it deserves!
