Re: Help Request - 8bit triangle

...I realised that you can use osc2 in the drum synth instead of osc1, then pitch it up an octave with its detune knob. Then pitch down the drum sequencer another octave for slightly more aliasing. Its still not a NES like triangle wave but its getting a little closer. You can't push it any further ...

Re: Help Request - 8bit triangle

Hmmm, i just tried a way i thought would work but it didn't sound convincing enough. The character of that triangle tone comes a lot from the ammount of aliasing in the waveform from the old 8 bit hardware. In ds10 I tried creating a high pitched triangle for the drum sequencer and then pitching it ...

Re: Cars - Gary Numan cover with extra bit to annoy the purists

Yeah, the Dpad could have been used well in the way you mention. Any kind of copy and paste for notes and values would have been very useful. It's really worthwhile checking out the old stuff - it's often cheap to get a CD (yes - I still buy lossless media!), and it's interesting to hear things that...

Re: x Critical Strike x - Chemical Plant Zone (sonic 2)

I'm getting goose bumps of nostalgia. I really like what you've done with the arrangement too. :D My only bit of CC (hope you don't mind) is that the mix needs a bit of tweaking, everything is turned up to 11 at the moment! The funky bass line really needs to shine through imo. I have a total soft s...

Re: Cars - Gary Numan cover with extra bit to annoy the purists

Well, his life was pretty complicated at that point, so I didn't make a big deal out of it, but later... yes, I did lean on him a bit to help me get the AN1X. :-) There i go again putting my foot in it, sorry about that. I completely forgot about those scratch sounds, didn't realise that was you. I...

Re: I found a way to change the sounds on M01

Hmmm, sounds very cool. I suppose getting the new samples to line up with the loop points in the original samples may be a bit of a problem but for the one shot sounds (assuming there are some) and drum sounds this could be great! You could load an altered version with some classic drum machine samp...

Hello fellow Uk'er! Hope you're getting on well with Ds10.

I read Decktonic's name as Decktronic for months on this forum too! Respect to him for setting up a webspace for the typo of his name :D

Re: Cars - Gary Numan cover with extra bit to annoy the purists

Funny, I asked almost the same question of my brother sometime in the late '80s... "could I have the Pro-One back if you're not using it?", and the answer came "well, you could if I hadn't sold it", so I effectively had it from sometime in 1985 to late 1986. :( Holy Fu..... :o That has to be one of...

....I remember wondering in 1985 why I couldn't get my Pro One to sound like any of the synths on the records I liked, and my big problem was not having any outboard effects! Not to mention, no formal musical training... :D Ooooow, i hope you still have that Pro One. Vince Clark fan by any chance? ...

Re: I just loove my KORG M01!!

Think about if the M01 could have the DS-10 synth integrated in the same cart! that would be something ;) That would be good, the dsi could probably manage that judging from ds10+. Great to hear you are enjoying M01. Iv'e not tried it yet but i think ds10 is more suited to my style of music making ...

Whhhaaattttt! :o :x You need to check it out! There's actually a couple of single versions, the 1979 original is more stripped down but better in my opinion. Then there was a later 80's version that added a load more synth. Both good though.

Extra bits! Grrrrrr.... ;) Gary Numan would probably approve actually, great job i reckon! I like you extra bit too. I had a stab at Cars on Ds10 once so i know what its like squeezing it all in. LBP2 Music Sequencer

I've been playing around with the sequencer in LittleBigPlanet2 lately. Its not a bad little sequencer really, nothing mind blowing as it seems to be sample based. You have quite a small choice of instruments at the moment but i'm hoping this is something that will be expanded in the future. Notably...
