Re: Experiment using west end girls

Yes, that was my intent, to take some cool sounds from the song and try to make something else. But as with all my other songs, it lacks melody and it's too repetitive.

Anyways, thanks for commenting!

Re: Experiment using west end girls

Oh, and about the sounds. Yes, ds-10 is 100 times more flexible, with all the editing and patching possibilities. And while I love to spend hours just playing with sounds, sometimes I find it really hard to make "not annoying" sounds. Korg m01 is great for me because of the great sampled instruments...

Re: Experiment using west end girls

Sure! In my soundcloud/youtube accounts most songs are made with ds-10/+. The only problem is that I have a standard euro nds, so no + for me yet. I'll have to import a dsi, sometime...

By the way, don't you have any space where I can find what you come up with the korgs?

Re: Experiment using west end girls

That's cool - Pet shop Boys are a good role model for Korg Ds10+ - their first album 'Please' was a brilliant piece of work. . . . . . Well done! Although this was made with korg M01, I know what you mean. Actually, even though their first demos were recorded with just a Korg MS10, I find it too ha...

Experiment using west end girls

Hi, all!

This is some sort of song I made using West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys. It still needs a bit of work, anyway.

Re: Recording to youtube

I've been thinking of doing what you say, a live rec of the Nintendo screen plus somke layers of video/photos over it. Some friend recommended me Premiere, but it seems like a too much pro software. If I find some easier program I'll tell you. By the way, the song is great and the video looks almost...

Well, here is mine. This is not 100% finished, though. There's some errors and things I want to change, aswell as adding another breakdown. I just wanted to show you so I can get some feedback To be fair I think this is going to be too much amateurish. Oh, I don't know why but I can't embed the song...
