Re: Aetherium Shores of Amethyst Isle

These track are very nice, I like the first one a lot with the multiple instrument and the notes. The 2nd one has some nice atmosphere sounds, you should try some nice low pitch noise drums like you did with the first one to complement your track the defaults don't do it justice in my opinion. Grea...

Re: A Night in November (M01 track by mistyminds)

I listened to this because tonight is a night in November. Very chilly and jazz.

Re: DS10FORUM.COM 2.0 > What should/could use a change?

OH! What about like a "classified" section? Where we could buy, sale, or trade equipment and gear, anything from: used consoles, modified consoles, cartridges, eye candy cases, parts, save tools, and other various music equipment.

Re: DS sampling BS?

Speaking of sampling, I was perusing the Play store yesterday and came across this (I bought it): 5NQBRU5h2FQ I'd love to have something like that for the DS, but I imagine it would be limited by processing power (although I doubt it would have nearly the overhead or latency of an Android device). ...

Well in that case you should at some point make a simple song and record that exact same song on all three consoles to have a side by side comparison of the sound quality.

Re: Droid Sector bass?

Yeah the closest I got so far was by using both synths so I could get more articulation. Well, I tried using three synths and Decktonic is right, it seems almost impossible to get any kind of grit without bit crushing. If you're going to do post-processing anyway, I would just record the synth part...

Re: BR00T4L BASS drop 808

It's been about a decade since I touched a DS Lite and I've never actually used a DSi before, so I can't say for sure, but I just read this comment on Youtube: The new DSi is the first Nintendo handheld to have true 16 bit 44-khz output. Athough the GBA and DS fat/lite supported 16 bit internal mi...

Re: BR00T4L BASS drop 808

Sounds simple enough to me, a sine wave with a low-pass filter set very low. Problem is, when I make this sound on my DS, it adds a bunch of fuzz/noise, which kinda ruins it. I guess the DS itself would need a low-pass filter to block such noise. So far I havnt got it pronounced enough without xtra...

Re: Droid Sector bass?

ok I will try to make sure to post the patch later. I do layer my main bass synth with a very low simple sine wave, to get really thick intense bass. But my problem has always been that I don't have the same bitcrushing effects that I can use in software like Ableton to make the bass gritty. Ok coo...

Re: Droid Sector bass?

I like how atonal it is. I can actually figure out a lot of what is going on, but I'm still scratching my head a bit. There is an impressive array of textures in that. I'm not really a fan of the wobble bass on the DS-10, though. It usually just sounds like an LFO on a filter to me. Dubstep bass so...

BR00T4L BASS drop 808

So would anybody know a patch setting to get that deep sustained sub bass drop that all the kewl kids put before the breakdown in their deathcore music? Here is a prominent example @ 0:08 and then again @4:07 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol-jc4p-Oeo&feature=youtu.be See? purely devastating. This i...
