Music Box (FM test)

I'm posting this up because I haven't post anything in a long time. I work on some rock music but its a muffled mess. So I wanted to see if the Korg DS-10 can make FM sounds like the genesis and arcade games and I made a music box sound (combined with delay) on low pitch it one of those old arcade s...

Re: SHUT (going for realistic sounding drums)

i like the parts that start at about 1:10 and about 1:43, and the drums are great the whole song thru, but the main lead synth is sort of obnoxious. You might want to muffle it a bit by lowering the cutoff, or something like that. Thank you so much for being honest, I was wondering about that. Some...

Wow! this is very awesome track! the only thing that bothers me is that the bass doesn't have a more of a deeper sound to complement the whole track. Everything else is perfect! =^w^= Great work!

Re: i hope someone like it!!!

Its pretty good, Since the intro is a bit long you can use mute some of the channels at the beginning to make a build up or fool around with the mute channels to give it more variety, unless your not using the PLUS version and you have to do the muting live.

Re: New song: Could you be more specific?

Great Track, the drum machine is a beast on its own since it samples sounds instead of real time like the synth does. So even some people see it as a limitation, it really opens up another door to making unique sounds that can't be done with the synths.

SHUT (going for realistic sounding drums)

https://soundcloud.com/gxscchater/shut-korg-ds-10 I really spend a lot of time patching the drums and instruments. And spending time with the volume and panning. 3 channels were used for the drums - One is playing the kick drum - another is playing two different kind of snares - and the third is fo...

Thanks a lot, that screaming noise is a classic 8 bit whistle used in a lot of sports and to represent time over in some games.

Race, no warp zones (nes sound)

Another chiptune, sorry if I am not making real sounding music, My next track includes a saxophone and ill make sure it extra nice. This track hear I was messing with. It has a couple of notes from super mario bros in the beginning, and made an original track that sounds like some kind of 8-bit race...

Right above this post is a pic I took, please read carefully before you use it, its very important.

By the way that triangle wave is use through out the whole song.
