Nitro Tracker
Ive had this on my computer for a while but never tried it out properly, im so glad i have now because it is actually amazing !
I put a couple of drum samples into the folder for it on my acekard (some really hard hitting kicks and snares) and started playing about with sequencing them and its spot on !
I also recorded one of my circuit bent toys through my ds lites OWN microphone and turned it into an instrument, it pitches whatever sound you record over all the keys.
Theres even a sample editor on it !
Most of you might have used it befor (i know chris lody does) but for those that havent definately try it out.
would be amazing to get a ds-10 syncd with it.

Re: Nitro Tracker
I'd like to have some of the standard tracker fx commands. Anyway, it's a great program.

Re: Nitro Tracker
I just think it would be really usefull live alongside korg ds-10 for samples.
i use alot of sonic the hedgehog and other games sounds in my sets live, would be nice to have a ds to do them with my ds only sets

Re: Nitro Tracker
When i first got this i stuck it on a Max Media Dock with a 1GB card and half filled that with nice short stock samples.i raided them from all over the place but mostly by looking through computer music cd roms by sorting all samples by size and choosing all the small ones.
There was talk over on the NT forum that it could sync with ds-10 so i really hope that happens if there is ever another update.
I didn't know you like circuit bent stuff. Do you bend your own stuff? There is a couple of bits i've done on my youtube.

Re: Nitro Tracker
i really like where nitro tracker is going and i've been waiting for a new version for a while now. the touch interface is really nice for entering note data and it's pretty full-featured for its relatively short dev time. and i really like the fact that you can record using your DS on the spot.
a couple of things keep me from using it for real though - the effects column support. in fact, full XM module support even. I don't use fast tracker (i grew up on impulse tracker instead) but i'd learn it if i found out that nitro tracker had full compliance somehow with the XM spec.

Re: Nitro Tracker
I'm pretty interested in this one myself. I might try it to have another beat source.
Re: Nitro Tracker
I put this on my cartridge the other day and played around. I like the program, but I wish there was mmm...a better process.
What I'd really like to do, is to create samples with my DS-10 (or other synth software) and then use them in NT. I looked around for a homebrew synth that would write wavs to my cartridge, but didn't find anything.
So for now I'm still mucking around with the DS-10. But NT is a strong piece of software, if I wasn't being stubborn

Re: Nitro Tracker
if anyone has the ability to run DSI homebrew I made a build of nitrotrack supporting the extra RAM / CPU - no mic or SD writing yet though.. http://blog.dev-scene.com/ratx/archives/20

Re: Nitro Tracker
This is a homebrew kind of thing, right? I'm not really into that kind of thing, though this does look absolutely amazing. If anything like this ever ends up on DSiWare or 3DSWare, I'd download it in a second!
