Re: Getting your music on Spotify
I've been using RouteNote.
They're far from perfect, but they get the job done. They have a "free" plan where it won't cost you anything for the initial upload, but then they take a certain percentage of the royalties. That suited me better than some of the other sites that take a fee for the upload.
When checking out an aggregator, make sure you read the terms thoroughly - there are some horrible ones out there. For example, some of the aggregators I checked out wanted exclusive digital distribution rights to my tracks. That would mean I could no longer offer free downloads on my website or upload to YouTube/SoundCloud/other sites. Horrible, horrible idea. So be careful.
In any case, the process of getting your music on Spotify is slow. Up to six weeks. Ridiculous.

AWAL Is based in Sheffield, i looked into them and know a few people who use them, when i last looked at the site everything seems like a bit of a chore to get things sorted.
Just been looking at Tunecore and that looks quite promising, doesn't look too bad for getting CD's made either.
I might put something out myself to trial run it.
