Re: Your home/live setup !
Are those sponge bob lego men? wtf!
I like to use a BIGBANG Sound Grip when i'm using the ds-10 to stop me from getting rsi. The speakers are shit and the stupid thing covers over the stylus holder so i had to drill a hole in handle to make a desktop style pen holder, but it makes the ds really comfy to use. i use a beat up pair of old Sony headphones. Apart from that all the gear you can see in my youtube vids, are we uploading our studio pics?

Re: Your home/live setup !
I was thinking of using a dj mixer myself, how well is that working? I like the grip Chris. I find the DS a little small to hold for long periods of time, so that's a cool setup too. Right now mine is just running into a 60 watt PA and one 12. When we perform, I plan on using a mixer board for the DS and our vocals, but that may change depending on how often and where we play.
Re: Your home/live setup !
The grip for the dslite is really cheap too, i got mine off ebay for £5 inc. p+p which i thought was a steal.
I've stuck some pics of my 8' x 6' studio. it sits under a dorma window on our landing as its the only space i have, its a little squashed in but works well. Most of the gear you see apart from the monitors, computer, soundcard and ks5 is either secondhand, from carboot sales or cash generator! The rest of my stuff (the even more lofi eqipment) is shoved in a walk in attic space.
Like the new avatar Harley, check my pics for some GIANT lego men!

Re: Your home/live setup !
Arrggh, no! I hope that never happens
Though its probably worth more in insurance than i paid for it
I have a few other bits and bobs spread around the house too which won't fit in the studio, a 70's hammond organ which hardly gets used and takes up tons of room and an old drum kit which i must get round to learning how to play. I'm quite looking forward to the carboot season starting up again so i can find some more cheap gear, which is pretty sad really!

Re: Your home/live setup !
Wow you guys are all serious. My setup is this simple:
- A blue DSi
- Korg DS10+
- A stereo male-to-male cable that I salvaged from an old set of computer speakers
- A Macbook pro
- Audacity
I just sit at my kitchen table, play a track (usually live in pattern mode) and record away.

Re: Your home/live setup !
Haha, I don't really have much of a set-up either. xD
I have ...pretty much the same stuff as you, Decktonic, except for the Macbook.
I use a Windows Vista computer, black DSi, m-m cable. Plus, I use Sony XMC to mix music loops together.
I also have a Yamaha DGX-300 keyboard too. I'm trying to convince my dad to get me a microKorgXL.

Re: Your home/live setup !
Our diary video sums up the set up we've got right now, but I don' wanna over post...
It's in the D&D Sluggers thread under Tracks and Videos.
We also introduce ourselves a bit more formally.

Re: Your home/live setup !
I've been remodeling!
Luckily we had a scrap sheet in the workshop that came as a cover sheet on some good stuff. Nothing too fancy here gear wise, but it means i have more room and it gets some of my boards out of the attic.
Mmmm, need more stuff.

Re: Your home/live setup !
Saw a similar post in another forum and decided to take some pictures:
My home setup:

My DJ setup:

Don't have a live setup yet... I want (need) to get a DSi XL, another copy of KORG DS10+, a KP3 and a decent 4-channel mixer with (hopefully) stereo & USB out. Any recommendations?

Re: Your home/live setup !
Decktonic,
A Behringer UCA 202 is a great thing. I buyed one (together with my "dreams setup") here in Brazil and a man that works in this shopping showed me. With two inputs and two outputs and a digital stereo output, with the possibility of legation, like mixers, speakers or headphones are very flexible. It's a tricky little thing and useful.
