Live show visuals

Post by The Industrialism » Thu Dec 23, 2010 1:02 am

Hello guys! I'll make various live performances here on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I'm with a idea for the show. The idea was use some visuals on a projector and turn off all lights and use the visuals as the stage lighting and for the place, since the place is great for this.

But I have a doubt for this: I'll use a second computer for these visuals and the idea is making a visual to take effect during the song, in real time. However, how I do that? I might as well use the visuals of WMP, iTunes and others, but they only work with pre-recordings and the effect I want to do the visuals are behaving with the weight and rhythm of the music in real time.

So, how I can do that?

Here's a video as example:

i am pretty sure you can have winamp "listen" to the audio card line-in instead of playing an audio file from your cpu ... probably under 'preferences', 'input' .. select line-in plug-in and configure. Something like that.
the same must be true for the other usual suspects.
