"3 Spaces"
"Origami and artwork gallery with Nepali Yoga & meditation sessions and Korg DS-10 Synthesizer live performances"

Who the heck came up with this crazy idea?
A blind guy who is quite famous in the city decided the combination of Origami, Yoga
and DS-10 is COOL. I was like, "That sounds freaking AWESOME. Let's do it."

He let us use his studio for free. My family and I were in charge of organizing the entire stuff.
Of course I was in charge of the DS-10 part. I was running around decorating the studio,
designing flyers, preparing the sound system, cooking, buying beer, painting, calling up
all my friends, and so on, until the last minute.

Keishi Yonao, natto21, Watanabe, Gospely, and Suttoko-dokkoy came to perform.
Isn't that just amazing? They are all leading DS-10 players in Japan!

There were two rooms in the studio. The DS-10 team took the smaller room.
Yoga & meditation sessions were held in the other room next to our room.

We had a brief time table, so our DS-10 sound would not disturb
the Yoga & meditation sessions. So we were just hanging out until 3 o'clock,
when they suppose to end the session.

However, they seemed they never wanted to stop.

Well, whatever. I AM the organizer. GO!! DS-10 TEAM GO!!!
But before that, let's steal all the booze and food from the other room!!

So we started anyway. Keishi Yonao performed at first. He brought the equipment to do the UST
web streaming. There were some accesses from overseas, so some of you might have seen it.
Suttoko-dokkoy was VJing for almost the entire time and made this party really exciting with all
the cool visuals. After Keishi Yonao, I performed couple of songs.

There was something crazy going on. Non of the DS-10 team noticed at that time though.
When I watched the video recording that my dad took, it cracked me up--

After we started, the Yoga & meditation team kept going for a while, even though
there was the loud and crazy techno party going on in the next room.

I'm sure our sound disturbed the meditation.
It seemed like they decided to dance to the beat instead of keep focusing.
You can see in this YouTube video that there are a bunch of elderly people doing some sort of
aerobics-dance-yoga stuff. Isn't it kinda odd? I thought it was freaking awesome.

There were about 30 people watching the show on Ustream, including my friends in
Colorado. I got to talk to them over the microphone. It was pretty cool.

natto21 came up with his ambient set and it almost made me cry. I never thought anybody could
play something that gentle, relaxing, and beautiful on DS-10.
After him, Gospely also played couple of cool songs.

After 5 o'clock, we started the free session, in which anyone could just jump in and perform.
Watanabe did his 40 minutes long DJ (stands for DS-10 jockey) sessions and it was wonderful.
He has been doing all the picnics but we never heard him play.
He was actually really good and he was hiding it until now!

Some of the people from the yoga team even joined us and the party was
successfully over. It was just amazing.

After the party, we had a dinner all together and talked until late night.

Thanks for reading!!
I hope my English makes sense...

Everything you are saying is awesome. I wish there was enough people here interested in Korg ds so we could hold events like this. Unfortunately that is not the case.

Keep working!

Thanks.
I think there are more synth fans than you might think. They are shy and hiding somewhere.
Find them and show em your DS-10. They will think it's pretty awesome. It's from my experience. ;-)

Isn't that funny? I just love that the instructor is even counting the beats.

Haha, I guess there must be a spiritual meaning to that: becoming one with one's surroundings.
