so probably 4 x as long as DS-10
Ah i missed that. 64 steps will do nicely. Now you mention it i see little left and right arrows on the pattern editors which is reassuring.

All this begs the question, is this now a ds-10 and m01 forum? Are you and Harley gonna change the forums name? :)

There's already an ebay auction where somebody offers the Korg M01as soon as it's available in Japan. It's stated:
Platform: Nintendo DS & DS Lite
Version: Japan
*NO REGION PROTECTION.
Compatible with any versions of NDS and NDS Lite systems
Does this mean it would also work on U.S. and European NDSi/XL? Is there for sure an official info from Detune?

play-asia shows also that there'll be no region protection. Keep fingers crossed that it might be true.

Regular DS software is always region-lock free and works on any DS system. Is a system policy, I would not worry about that.

NIntendo changed its mind for DSi (exclusive software) and went back to region protection. That's why DS10+ works (no dual mode) on any ds but its enhanced dual mode version (DSi, DSi XL) is region-locked.
