I keep reading about how you guys are performing live shows with your Korg DS-10 and stuff like that, and it's really impressive that you're doing that, but I wanted to know this: Is there a way to take a completely finished song (that doesn't need any second-to-second tweaking), and somehow use it in a live show without looking like an idiot?
I'm worried that if I took a Korg M01 and did a live show with it, people would say, "Hey, he's not actually doing anything other than letting it play! He might as well be using an mp3 player!"
tl;dr
What's the best way to do a live show with a Korg M01?
How would somebody use a Korg M01 song in a live show?

-Use set to alter the tempo/swing/step
-Use mix/fx to mute/solo/change fx
-Change the instrument of a track
-Play the kaos/kbd
-Loop parts on the main screen/jump to a different one
People will know you're not playing/programming all the instruments in real time so it's probably inevitable that some people will make the mp3 player comparison. Just do whatever makes you feel like you're doing more than pressing play.

That's not a problem we usually have, since I'm on guitar and Dustin is on keys and we both sing. Dancing is usually the easyiest way to go. I mean, look at deadmau5. He's just fiddling around and jumping and everyone is fine with it.

Easy!
Pre-program each pattern/ bar with a drum beat - and a chord - say a C, an F and a G Major
Get a Bass/rythm going.
Keep one instrument patch for soloing
Use Mute - a lot to bring in and out - -the different instruments.
you can play a whole song with just 3 Bar Patterns!
I'll try and post a video . . . . .
