eburneus (Rock on Korg M01)

Post by odradek7743 » Wed Jul 06, 2011 4:01 pm

Because everyone doesn't try to compose guitar rock tunes which used by M01, I tried.

notes:
This tune was recorded with realtime scene-playing (I need more practice).
Dirty Sounds of drum/guitar parts are treated by Delay.
Slightly added SX-150's saw wave sounds with portament.
(SX-150: cheap analog synth made in Japan http://otonanokagaku.net/magazine/sx150/index.html)
I'm sorry I can't write(and speak) English well. :(

Thank you for listening!

This is very cool! It has lots of interesting sounds, and is very engaging. Sounds like a real rock 'n' roll song!

When you say "realtime scene-playing", what exactly do you mean? I've used Korg M01 a lot, but I didn't think that shifting between scenes in realtime was possible. How do you do it?

That is a brilliant track!

Live scene playing is Setting Scene to 'Lock' and just selecting the 'Scenes' on the Main screen as they come up - you can jump from pattern 1 to pattern 5 to pattern 64 etc....
Using the Mixer, you can do a fantastic live gig!!!
This clip here is the best example I've heard. Well DOne!

thx Unclebibby! I'm glad to enjoy.

Of course sequence pattern(s) cannot be moved during playback.
Perhaps you know that when we make sequence data, unfortunately M01's song area doesn't have enough memory.
So I/we often play specifying Scene directly and manually (alike muting or fading volume on mixer display) like a DJ.
#One sequence pattern of whole tracks on main display is called Scene (on M01)

This kinda reminds me of the Oasis song "Fuckin' in the Bushes".

and i love the first bridge time change, blows my mind.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Remix it.
