program freezes...

Post by pugbath » Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:00 pm

Anyone else get this problem: I load the program and it'll freeze while loading or in the middle of a song (really sucks live). It's on a ds10+ on a dsi. It used to freeze every so often on certain tracks, but now freezes when loading the program. My friend had the same issue and maybe trading tracks corrupted my whole cart? Are all of my tracks ruined?

Do you run an original cartridge?

I've never had this problem with the original cartridge, only with ROMS, so I don't know....
Tried to blow in the cartridge yet ;)? Maybe try another DS?

Yea, tried a different ds and it still locks up. It's pretty intermittent, but definitely sucks when using this particular cartridge live with all of our old jams on it. Oddly enough, my friend that I make music with had the same problem with his cartridge and now I do... I wonder if trading songs from a defective cartridge to a good one would infect the good one, as that may be how mine got it in the first place... But it would be great to move these songs to a new cart and not lose hundreds of hours of work.
