3DS XL

Is the 3DS XL compatible with DS-10? The 3DS XL is not listed in the compatibility sticky, only the 3DS.

I'm using it with 3DS XL and it works fine. I have a couple of videos in the videos/tracks area where I'm using it. It works with ds10 and ds10+ (which unlocks the double synth settings). Just look for ratface1987 in the tracks/videos area if you're curious.

Er , Ratface, do you have a Non-European 3DS XL?

Yeah, I'm using an American 3ds with American versions of DS10 and +. Does that make a difference?

Yes, the European 3ds,Dsi and 3DS XL do not allow Dual mode due to Region lock.

The American and Japanese consoles are the ones to use. :)

That is so strange. Is that because they never officially released a European version of ds10? Europe gets the fuzzy end of the lollipop for video games it seems sometimes.

DS10 wasn't region locked
DS10+ was region locked and they didn't release it in Europe.

I am sure that at somepoint it will be on 3DS Eshop as Korg M01D is going to be - however - XSEED games own the license to DS10+ - not Sano ( the creator). Sano's company Detune Ltd own Korg M01 rights so he can still work/publish with that.
XSEED have to pul their finger out - it may well happen as download software is much ceaper to produce :)
In fact - I think I will write to XSEED Games and ask them to consider publishing DS!0+ on Eshop - loads of people would buy it :)

It's true. Especially if they put it at around 15€, which is what I found both my copies at new in random game stores in the US. They might have been so cheap because they weren't selling though. The steep learning curve put me off it for a couple of years after I bought my first copy. So we'lll see.

PS, I'm excited to be part of a live discussion on the forum. I'm late to the game and missed what seems to have been the good old days of the forum, haha.
