Changing notes while in song mode?

Post by On Urb » Sun Aug 18, 2013 7:23 pm

Hello guys!
i have to decide between ds-10 and ds-10+. so my question is:
can you change the pitch of the notes in the step sequencer while running the song mode? is it only possible on the ds-10+? i fear it isn't possible on either version :( thanks...

Some good news! You CAN change the pitch of the notes in the step sequencer whilst the song is playing in both ds10 and ds10+.
If you can, get ds10+. And a DSi or run it on a 3Ds. No point to get ds10 now.

Wow! that's dope! thank you very much for the reply. ds-10+ is still kind of rare here (germany) but propably worth to pay the taxes and get it from japan...

Yep DS-10 plus is the way to go, the most important feature in my opinion is being able to record channel mutes, to make more complex music while keeping your hands free to concentrate on the mixer for more complex live music. If you do end up getting one, USA or JAPAN, I recommend investing in a: DSi or DSIXL (better with the big screens) of the same country, you can run two korg ds-10 plus on one cart, double the instruments from 6 to 12 and it also links both song modes for you to make music twice as long.

You're wrong.

I don't know about ds10+, but you can definitely not edit the notes (or pretty much anything -- not even mute/solo channels!) in Song Mode on standard ds10. If you switch out of the Song Mode screen, the song will stop playing, and switch to a single pattern.
