I really realized that dynamics are important for spookiness, like fading stuff in slowly... I'll do that more.

Hey guys I thought I would post up the track that I translated/remixed over to DS10 for this comp. I originally wrote it on my Korg Triton. The Ds version features more sound effects and atmospheric stuff, but the Triton version has better instrumentation, chords, effects, etc.

Hey DS-10 Dominator, I just want to say that my offer to do some simple leveling/mastering is still on the table.
But, if you have the time and would rather do it yourself that's cool too. I typically refrain from talking myself up to people because I dislike doing so but, mastering is what I get paid for.
Also, The Haunted Living Room is finished I just haven't posted it up because I got tired of listening to it. I'll get the final up tomorrow.
So close... I can't wait to hear this comp finished, I know it's going to be awesome!

I'd be more than happy to do it. I always feel as if I've gained so much from being a member of this forum that I'm totally ready to contribute as much as I can. I appreciate everyones music, advice, critiques, tutorials, etc. alot.

Everyone just make sure you set your final mixes to be downloadable from soundcloud, or if you prefer, send them to
ranavasagsg@hotmail.com with mega-upload or sendspace etc.
I'll have it mastered in a week at most. My workload is fairly light around this time of year.

Yes, as long as it's set up to be downloadable that will be no problem at all.

I really cannot say whether DS10-Dominator would grant anyone an extension, but I hope that he would. Only 5 tracks are in right now including mine. With the Space comp I know that there were several stragglers but it did eventually get done and the results were worth the extra wait. This comp has an incredible amount of potential to be amazing so I hope that everyone will get their tracks submitted asap but I'd hate to see it fall apart so close to the finish line. So, in my humble opinion, I'd hope that everyone will get a fair chance to get finished so we can put out yet another awesome comp.

Heres my submission

HAd loads of fun doing this - this was such an excellent idea for a compilation - not just to make tracks but to really look at sound design and what is possible with the DS10: its such a versatile little synth!

For my track I was thinking about some kind of horrible pulsing force of pure evil oscillating at the heart of the haunted mansion in the secret control room .. the later melodic theme is for our hero who somehow is managing to semi-escape the terrible ghoul while still under the effects of its trance like powers .. the end section is him running for his life through the mansion grounds, tragically leaving all of his friends behind to die, while the monstrous evil force of the house howls incessantly after him. Will he make it to safety? I doubt it .....

I'm blown away by the other submissions on soundcloud - seriously good stuff up there! Its awesome to have the opportunity to contribute a track for this great project

Well AlexUsual, the max length was supposed to be 7min.
I don't care if no-one else cares, but that is not my decision to make. We'll have to wait for DS10-Dominator to make a final call on that.
Also, that waveform looks a little smashed to me, but that does sometimes happen with soundclouds representation of the waveforms, I'll grab it and get back to you.
