Wow, that's a very interesting approach... I'll have to try that. I love throwing in triplet beats into my music and playing around with semi-polyrthmic grooves... but DS-10 makes this hard sometimes.

I did triplets with the delay effect on a drum patch. And then changing the gate, one-shot it played the triplet and gated it would play a single note. It worked pretty well... I should revisit this technique. I did it way back on the original DS-10... and now the drums sounds are a bit weak... but I like the swinging feel of these drums.

That's awesome! I guess since the swing makes that first step longer it puts it out of time when you reduce the sequence to one step? I'm so gonna use this some day

What I did in the past was the extremely direct method of setting patterns to 12 steps, and then putting a 'quarter note' every 3 steps, but obviously this is a little useless unless every pattern is 12 steps

Edit: I wrote a second thing yesterday about something I thought could be done when using two DSes, but it turns out that, no, I was totally wrong about that.

Yeah, I've done that too. Another possibility, if you only want it in a few places, is to connect the square wave (with the right frequency) to VCA IN in the patch panel. Of course, that won't work as intended for drums (except for very specific circumstances/notes), and all three of your triplets will need to be the same note.
