The Q&A Section of EMS show the following: both, NDS Adaptor and NDS Adaptor Plus, are supposed to support DS, DSlite and DSi. Source: http://www.hkems.com/qa_0907.htm

Any DSi owner has experience with an adaptor by EMS? Does it really work with the DSi?

Meant to reply to this earlier. The adaptor itself works on the save data on the cartridge, so it's not specific to DS or DSi or even to the cartridge per se. (The "adaptor plus" adds a feature that enables the firmware to be updated; some cartridges with larger than usual save files were not supported on the previous adaptor, it seems.) However, since the DS-10 Plus adds some additional features, the save files between the two different carts themselves are not compatible.

I haven't tried it with any save files yet, but I've done it with my own meagre data--you can transfer sessions wirelessly between DS-10 and DS-10 Plus cartridges, in either direction, using the Data Exchange feature. (Remember, a 'dual' session is really just two sessions, one loaded to bank A and the other to bank B.) Transferring from Plus to the DS-10 original, I expect that would just lose the additional features, like per-track mute settings in a song--a feature that is not available in DS-10. Of course, you'll need both cartridges and two DS(i) systems.

Now, if every session is used, there's no good way to get your presets from one cart to the other. With an empty session, I just create a session from INIT and then load my presets one by one onto Synth 1 / 2 in each pattern until I have them all. As it turns out, the preset names are saved with the session data that way, whether you have presets by that name or not on the receiving cart.

Thanks for your answer katebushlover. Ordered a NDS Save Data Adapter on ebay for small price (~US $16 / ~EUR 12). If anyone is interested, check ebay Item number 230454446268.

i have used .sav files from ds-10 to ds-10plus jp version and to ds-10 us version. i don't honestly remember from which cart to which, but had no trouble and everything worked fine. i have used both xp and vista. I was on vacation last year and the guy (at ems) emailed me the software and drivers to back up my files. saved me the money of purchasing a field recorder to get the songs down on the fly. this thing has saved me several times.

NDS Adaptor (the older application, not the Plus version) arrived today. Can confirm it works like expected and without any problems on Korg DS-10+

That's good news. I wonder if the NDS plus works for the DS-10+? And has anyone tried the driver with a Mac?

yep, it takes a couple of weeks but it's free shipping... I get an nds adaptor, new, with the pack and the cd.
It works fine with vista, and not at all with ubuntu (even with wine). A driver for the linux/macOsX would be great.
Haven't try to upload yet, i've got a ds10+ cart, it's supposed to work.

So, both versions work for ds-10 and ds-10+?

r4i-sdhc.com team has released SaveDongle Devide. Price 10$ to 20$ in different shops.
I'm waiting for delivery, hoping it works with KDS10+

Edit:
SaveDongle works great. Tested with XP and Win7 x64.

I have a mac and a ds gold backup USB cart adapter, can I use this on an original cart or are these just to use on r4 carts? I realise I need parallels or bootcamp to use the USB reader. Just checking as I don't want to install windows7 on my mac if its not going to work with the original ds10 cart.

I have to obtain one of these seems to be very helpful, if the r4i savedongle for sure works with ds-10+ I might give it a try.
