What are the steps to play Kraftwerk's Pocket Calculator?

About sound design and composing with DS-10 (PLUS). How do I make this sound? How do I get this groove? How can I automate this? What can I do live?

What are the steps to play Kraftwerk's Pocket Calculator? I just got my Korg DS-10, so somewhat new to the program. Thank you for any help or tutorials.

well, to start, you should probably check out some other attempts at it.

Gospely's take on it is probably the definitive one:

then there's the one by this guy:

if i remember the song correctly, there's three main components:
- the main melody (pretty simple, always repeats)
- the chord riff (a little harder because you'll probably need to use multiple oscillators to form the chords)
- the calculator sounds (that's probably the hardest)

i'd say it's a good exercise to figure out how to get your DS-10 to produce sounds that are like the original. but i'll leave that to you to discover that on your own. =)

Does anyone know how to get in touch with either Gospely or RereChang to request steps or SAV files of Kraftwerk's Pocket Calculator? I have sent message via Youtube, but have not gotten any response.
