KORG DS-10 + MAX/MSP

Post by The Industrialism » Wed May 26, 2010 5:01 pm

Anyone have been tryed this "solution"? I been thinking in this idea 2 days ago and it's in my head a week ago and I don't know how to use it? Here some doubts of mine:

1) I need to connect the DS-10 with a stereo cable? If no, how I connect the DS-10 to the MacBook?
2) I need a mixer?
3) And with Ableton Live? Is the same thing?
4) How I can connect 4 DS-10 for a live show?

I know, it's so much doubts, but is a starter user in a DS-10 and I have a idea for making live shows and I wanna make it true.
Thanks for the help

I wanna make some effects like duplicating the spped of the synths. This idea came before I've seen this video.

And I wanna make some dark ambient/experimental electronica with a influence in a avant-garde music. And thanks for the scale. :D

In order to connect to your Macbook you will need a cable that is stereo 1/8" male to two mono 1/4" male. You will also need some sort of A/D converter that plugs into either USB or firewire. For your needs USB is probably fine. Check out the link to the Tascam US-144 below. It's inexpensive and will do the trick. Good luck and have fun!
