General synth theory and patch stuff

I just realised that i have never shared this link that i found which has a whole bunch of great synth theory a patch articles from sound on sound. Some of it is VERY in depth, the most useful of them is the 'Practical' articles which could easily be applied to ds-10's synths, ie Practical Kick Drum Synthesis etc.

I am still reading through this in bits and it has been about a year since i found it maybe more. So here it is:

Yeah, that series is very good, at least the articles I've read.

Thanks for that, i'd been wondering where Future Publishing had been uploading there stuff.

Computer Music magazine used to have a Synth Essentials series with some great basic sound walk throughs but i can't find those online, but this is very good! There's plenty of stuff here i've never seen before as i haven't bought their magazines for quite some time

CM had a special issue about making synth music a while ago. I thought it was quite nice. Music Tech also had a focus issue about Synthesis. Tough that was mostly a subset of the SoS series, but with the added benefit of the magazine being very glossy.
