Hey, thought I'd share this rather amazing YouTube channel I found. Some of the most experimental uses of the M01 I've ever heard and some great DS-10 sounds also.

Honestly, I don't know how the Japanese do it!

Hi,

First, I'm sorry I can't write(and speak) English well - because I'm one of Japanese who has not remembered many English words.
Second, I was recommended to join here by our dear DS-10 Dominator (thru my youtube channel).

KORG M01 is very similar to KORG M1 Music Workstation however does not allow you make instrumental patch like a DS-10 except changing parameter of attack and release.
But there are some ways to play like a DS-10, for example: realtime scene(same as 'pattern' on DS-10/PLUS) playing, realtime mixing, realtime FX param changing and of course air guitar.
My M01 tunes are the one of those results.
Naturally, many Japanese M01 users enjoys composing and playing many ways.

Unfortunately KORG M01 doesn't sell international, but some way is here if you want to buy:
amazon.co.jp (1US$ is about equal to 81-85JPY)

PLAY-ASIA

You can probably also send a request M01 international version to DETUNE Ltd.

many thanks to davidevoid and DS-10 Dominator.

In all honesty, I don't know anyone who is pushing the M01 like you are, it's pretty amazing. It gives me hope for the program, you treat it so creatively and that's, in my opinion, one of the most important things you can do to breed innovation.

Thank you for the links, very inspiring...

For everybody here, seriously, we need to catch up with these guys... THEY ARE INTENSE! (admittedly I think I've got the longest to travel!)

Wow, thanks davidevoid. I'm very glad to your encourage. I'm honored!
You'll be able also to do surely that like me or us!

By the way, now we're composing only by M01 drumkits, over 20 M01 users are joining this plan.
Everybody has really amazing ideas and excellent skills and I'm surprised too!
Can you follow our play? :)

Let's compose only by M01 drumkits (notice:almost all tweets are written in Japanese language)

Thanks PuglyWont! Perhaps you know it's slightly difficult to make melodic tune, aren't you?
I'll be able to make more efforts by your words.

Yup... I find it hard on DS-10 to make a full melody... but that's part of the fun. :D

I accept the challenge! I actually challenged another member of this forum to the same thing, drums only, but he didn't feel up to it... I think the drums on M01 are great so it should be fun. It might be a while til I post a track though, still haven't finished any of my first cluster of M01 tracks that I've had bouncing around for the past month that I've had the software.

I created a separate topic for the M01 Drumkit-only challenge.
Please refer to the topic below to see the rules of the challenge
and what the participants have come up with so far.

At the moment I am aware of at least 20 people participating
and at least 28 different tracks shared!

Please check this out

Thanks!

Man, I want my money back!...my M01 lacks all this so interesting glitchy noisy sounds!...

Just joking, of course. I'm pretty impressed. Awesome stuff.
