Compilation idea: The Haunted Mansion

I've already got the earlier submissions finished so I should be done pretty quickly.

How is that possible? Get an average leveling without having all tracks on your computer ?

It's all about establishing an appropriate average RMS level and ensuring all the tracks adhere to the guidelines, and making sure that the RMS power is properly distributed throughout the frequency spectrum. Once the basic guidelines are set new tracks can be added into the list as long as they are able to be manipulated to fit within those guidelines as well. So, finished is indeed inaccurate, nearly finished would have been more correct. There will have to be a few final adjustments once all tracks are in. However, DS10 Dominator, I think you already knew that.

One question I have is: Is the version of Anthony's Entrance Hall the one he wants to use?
I saw that he posted something about re-recording it but I haven't seen anything else.

There actually is a narrative that i'm trying to illustrate with the sounds in this track - But what i'm interested in is your interpretation of what is going on here =) feel free to take a guess!

Bryface -love it! cos its so dynamic, really sounds like things are happening ..

from your track I imagined a guy trapped in the garage, openng the car doors, trying to start the engine(!), and all the while this horrible evil beastie is wanting to eat his brain just for fun ))

Totally impressive. Listening at it throught headphones is really an experience. Maybe you could elaborate a bit on how you made it? Did you multitracked or is it as it comes from the DS?....

Here's "Entrance Hall". Revised a few things from the last version. I'm quite satisfied with this mix. =)
Harley's Storm could totally transition into my song. Before his song fades out, my grumbling bass noise can fade in with the white noise following right after. Just throwing an idea out there. xD

First off: thanks everyone for the great enthusiasm and work. I'm proud.

Second: I suggest renaming my track to "Back yard" and Harley's track to "Front yard" then.... or something like that. Storm would be weird, as it's not a location. Any other name ideas Harley?

Third: Final deadline Tuesday 12th of July!

Fourth: Publishing should be done through bandcamp. Why? Tag mistakes can be very easily corrected. No need to reconvert to mp3 etc.

Anyway, I was poking around on SoundCloud and stumbled upon this compilation group, and after listening to some of the tracks was instantly inspired. So I created a track, knowing that I am very late to the party. Regardless if I'm too late to submit to the compilation or not, I thought I would share it here.

HaHa, I also joined up on this site at the tail-end of the Journey Through Space comp.
You'll never find a more friendly and helpful online forum than here!
If you can, load a Wav. or Aiff. file of your bathroom track. I can work with your mp3 if I must however.
Post it to the group on soundcloud or post a downloadable here in this thread.
