Egyptian music is wonderful - I played my violin inside the Great Pyramid years ago - very New Age - especially as in 1999, I played it during the Total Eclipse in Cornwall up on Bodmin Moor 'in the shade of the moon". . . .

yes i agree....more difficult than it appears. (I haven't even considered the song title yet!...though to be honest work has kept me very busy and oftentimes away from the DS-10). The exclusion of drums definitely makes it challenging.

Lol, I was backpacking with my violin back in 1997 - I visited the pyramids at Giza,if you've never been in - you have to half crawl down these very narrow passages into the massive lower chamber - There is all sorts of old French Grafitti from the 19th Century down there. I simply got my violin out of it's case ( I always carried it everywhere with me in Egypt) and played a couple of tunes! There weren't any security guards and surprisingly few tourists! Fantastic echoey acoustics!!!!
It would have been good to play a DS10+ set in there - I hope the Pharoahs weren't too upset . . . .

Wonderful music!. I particularly love the section starting at 4:08 on the second video, when it becomes more rhythmical. The patches I was already working at are quite in this way (that's funny: one might even say I was imitating them. I just had listen at the first seconds of the first video...).

hm, good point. depends on how i spend my afternoons while in NY (i may be working out of my company's NYC office. or hanging out 24/7 at random pizza parties with whichever chip folks are available to hang)

anyway, if i do find time to contribute a track it'll most likely be a spur of the moment thing. or in the worst case, a joke entry done in 30 minutes =)

As for me, i am still in!
I was contemplating on a song title and even mistook the deadline date as being today!
Good for me! relieve! as i am totally not happy with my song yet!

The absence of beats is truly a great challenge! I notice that i built most of my previous tracks on the pattern of moments where there is yes/no beat.
